Whatever your reason, if you love communicating in all its forms The Simpletons is the place for you.
We are a group of public speaking enthusiasts who enjoy regularly getting together and meeting the challenges of whatever our tutored evening might throw at us. It can be very varied; impromptu speaking, poetry, speaking to camera, stand-up comedy. You name it we have probably done it and if we haven't we want to know about it so we can try it!
We are not a group of wizard orators though. We are just like you, a group of people who once had a fear of public speaking or wanted to be better at it. So if you are new to public speaking or currently have a fear of it, you will be equally as welcome.
The Simpletons provide a safe environment to find your feet or explore new areas of communication. Whether it be one of our tutored evenings or not, you are bound to come away having learned something from the breadth of background of our tutors and members, not only about public speaking.
So come along and try us out. The worst that can happen is that you will spend an evening being educated and entertained; the best that you will also get up and speak!
